Repeated letters and gray does not always mean absent

Word feedback consumes answer letters in order: greens first, then yellows. A guess with two copies of a letter might color only one yellow if the answer holds a single instance.

Cross-board trap

A letter gray on board 1 does not remove it from consideration on board 3. Always enter feedback per board independently.

Practical check

When you are unsure, test a probe word that repeats a suspected letter on one board while eliminating duplicates elsewhere — but budget the risk in Quordle’s shared guess limit.
